Updated 13th January 2024:
“It is with unspeakably heavy hearts that we share some very sad news... Our darling Imogen gently and peacefully passed away on Thursday 11 January 2024 ??
She was 4 years and 1 month old, to the day. It is just like her to be particular about the details like that. She had a really good morning at radiation, saying “thank you!” to her radiation oncologist after the success of her one and only radiation session. She rapidly declined that afternoon and through the night. Imogen fought valiantly until her very last breath, holding on as long as she possibly could. She was surrounded by her sisters, who beautifully loved and kissed and cared for her into the early hours of the morning. Brad sang songs to her and I was able to hold her and cuddle her to sleep for the last time until Jesus comes ?
She is forever 4 and forever my strong and brave little girl! ?? We are still in shock and utterly lost and heartbroken without her. Next time we see her and the next thing she knows, she will be made whole and healthy, and she will be running and singing and playing again. We ache to see her happy and free from the pain and suffering she so bravely and cheerfully endured here on earth! I know we will see her in Heaven one day ????? Until then we will try to bear the pain of losing her as bravely as she faced the life of pain she had here. I’m so blessed and honored to have loved and been loved by her ?
We are grateful for any messages or phone calls in the coming days or weeks, if you want to show care and support, or if you want to talk about Imogen. We apologize if we can’t always respond but please know that it means so much. We will want to talk about Imogen and you can ask us questions. We absolutely adored her and want the memory of her to stay fresh.
I’m also very conscious that this news might be hard and confusing for those who have come to care a lot about Imogen, so please go easy on yourself and ask God all the hard questions, he can handle it.
I’m especially concerned for the beautiful children who kept Imogen in their prayers, with raw faith in their hearts, night after night for 4 years… Please have gentle age appropriate conversations about this with your children. I’m convinced that their prayers were heard by God - it was a miracle that Imogen lived 4 years with many many grade 4 tumours of the most aggressive kind in her brain and spine! Let them know we don’t have all the answers for the suffering in this world but that what we do know is, Imogen loved Jesus and we will see her in Heaven ??
We have one more prayer request: please pray for Brad, myself and our older 4 girls. We are in so much grief right now. Words can’t possibly describe the big gaping hole in our hearts from losing our baby girl. No parent should have to say goodbye to their 4 year old. No sibling should have to say goodbye to their little sister. It is utterly crushing and devastating. Please pray for us to find strength each day from now until Heaven, because that’s how long this pain will last ?
Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin over these 4 beautiful challenging years. Thank you for the prayers, the care packages, financial gifts, and thank you to the amazing and expert medical teams and researchers who contributed to Imogen’s fight against cancer.
We love you Immy-boom-booms, forever and always, still the baby in this family of seven. We will see you again in the clouds when all sickness is banished and Heaven is our home xxxxxxx
?? Christie xx
THANK GOD FOR HEAVEN!
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away - Revelation 21:4”

Biography

Imogen was born in December 2019. She appeared fine and healthy. However, following a critical incident, and emergency life-saving brain surgery, Imogen was soon after diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, congenital Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4.

She soon started on chemotherapy, which she has continued until the present time. #PRAYFORIMOGEN She spends much time in hospital, for blood tests, chemo, and on antibiotics if she gets an infection.

In June 2020, the tumour was found to have regrown, and almost all of it was removed by surgery. Please pray that the chemo eliminates the cancer. Thank you.
