Biography

Quinn was born at 34 weeks, he was revived at birth and ventilated. He was amazingly responsive to the unbelievable treatment of the medical team in the hospital and only spent 4 weeks in NICU. Whilst there they gave him a medical diagnosis of Noonan syndrome and I heart condition (we where sent straight from NICU once he was stable to see pediatric cardiologists). They took blood to confirm he was actually a boy and also for the DNA checks to confirm Noonan syndrome. We where extremely lucky that the doctors had seen Noonan syndrome before so we got an early diagnosis.
Quinn has the main heart condition of pulmonary stenosis which had required catheterization and will do again in the future. The doctors are trying to get him bigger before open heart surgery. He's currently on medication to control his arrhythmia. He does have a few other heart issues that I can't remember as these aren't currently worrying his doctor's, I'm sure I'll dig my head out of the sand and remember them as our journey continues.
He looks so healthy sometimes it's easy to forget.
