BiographyNoel was born a twin 2 mins before his sister april. Normal health life of working parents and daycare when suddenly he was sick we took him to a private hospital and Noel was misdiagnosed with a virus when he had leukaemia. In 7 days he had a developed mass on top of his heart and lungs and we were flown to Queensland childrens hospital 8 hours after results were in. We started in icu because Noel had to commence treatment 6 hours after arrival and was told he had a high risk of organ failure due to the amount of cells in his body’s. Noel had had 6 round of chemo protocols to get him to a stable count for bone marrow transplant. We finished and now we have a battle of chemo brain and walking. We have ankle foot orthotics to help and 13 medications to take per day. 11 of these are morning and night and a consistent battle of viruses that he has had to fight the whole time. We are currently day 70 post bone marrow transplant and drs are waiting to see if Noel will require admission to fight off cmv with blue light therapy with in the hospital. |
