BiographyWhen Dexter was born on the 17th of December 2011, the nerves in his left shoulder were stretched and damaged, causing Dexter to have no use of his Left arm. Dexter has been seeing a specialist ever since birth for this injury. Dexter has regained 90% to 95% range of movement in his left arm.
On the 7th of October 2014, I came home from work to find my 2 and 3/4 year old son Dexter had a seizure and my Wife was waiting for an ambulance to take him to the Womens and Childrens Hospital. It was found out at the WCH that he had a brain tumor, and the Nerosurgeons spent 7 hours removing it on the 11th of October 2014. The Nerosurgeons were able to remove the whole tumor and were happy with the second MRI results confirming this. On the 17th October My Wife and I realised our greatest fears. Dexter's tumor was tested and confirmed to be Malignant, and Dexter was going to need Chemotherapy.
Dexter is currently fighting through hi 3rd cycle of Chemotherapy and still has 3 cycles of Hard Chemo to go after his current cycle.
I thank you for this opportunity, I was referred to you by Donna Ryan :)
